Tarpitz Gardening & Landscapes

In 1999, Grant Greenleaf Cox founded Tarpitz Gardening, named after his favorite surf spot. Grant's passion for plants began early, growing up amidst the flower farming community of his hometown, Carpinteria, California.  At just 14, he began working at his family's company, Carpinteria Wholesale Floral.  He later joined his brother and sister-in-law in revamping the business, renaming it ShipRite Floral. When the floral industry faced challenges in the mid-1990s, Grant embarked on his own venture with a '67 black Chevy truck and one employee. Tarpitz Gardening began as a small, full-service landscape maintenance company, serving clients throughout Santa Barbara County.

 

Today, Tarpitz Gardening & Landscapes serves over 100 clients along the California Coast.  We specialize in and take pride in maintaining thriving, healthy yards, and, most importantly, "Growing Relationships."

Greenleaf Landscapes

In 2002, Grant expanded his business with the creation of Greenleaf Landscapes.  Greenleaf specializes in bringing clients' landscape dreams to life.  Our comprehensive services include irrigation, lighting, drainage, hardscapes, masonry work, decks, pergolas, water features, fencing, plant procurement, and both small and large-scale plant installation—if you can dream it, we can do it!  Greenleaf Landscapes also believes in "Growing Relationships" and prides itself on collaborating with clients to create their ideal designs while adhering to their budgets. We ensure that every dollar invested adds value to their properties.
